NTM Sverige AB

NTM Sverige AB

NTM Sverige AB is a subsidiary of the company NTM, Närpes Trä & Metall, founded in 1950 in Närpes Finland. Early in the company's history, production of bodies, superstructures and trailers for heavy transport vehicles began. NTM's products are known for their quality and solid innovative design, as well as the possibilities to offer specific customizations. This has made NTM a strong brand and sought-after product in the transport industry. Närpes Trä & Metall is currently represented in about 20 countries.

NTM has for a long time been at the forefront of the development of RCVs, which today represent a significant part of the production, making NTM the market leader in the Nordic countries. NTM offers customers in around 10 countries market-oriented collection vehicles, where the product catalogue includes everything from conventional RCV:s to special vehicles. Over the years, NTM has developed a variety of vehicles for most collection systems, including the well-known Quatro select system, where NTM is the only supplier to offer vehicles that handle four separate fractions.

NTM Sverige AB's operations have developed over 30 years to be one of the largest players in the Swedish market for bodyworks, box bodies/trailers and RCV:s. The company has a total of 50 employees with its own sales offices, service workshops, production and spare parts warehouses in Stockholm (Högdalen and Kallhäll) and in Skara and Kalmar. NTM Sweden has four service vans and a dynamic network of aftermarket partners in Sweden.

NTM Kalmar: A New Era for Garbage Truck Manufacturing

In June 2024, NTM Sverige AB acquired Geesinknorba's production facility in Kalmar, Sweden, marking a significant step in NTM's development. This new venture means that NTM now has its own manufacturing unit for garbage trucks in Sweden, which is the company's largest market. This acquisition includes the takeover of personnel, the property in Kalmar, equipment, and spare parts.

Kalmar has a long tradition of garbage truck manufacturing and high competence in the industry. NTM plans to hire 30-40 new employees over a two-year period and aims to produce between 150-200 units per year, with assembly in Kalmar. The company will also collaborate with local subcontractors to leverage the region's expertise and develop together.

This is a historic event for NTM, and the company warmly welcomes experienced colleagues with hundreds of years of combined experience in garbage truck manufacturing and aftermarket services. This initiative will strengthen NTM Sverige AB's presence in the Nordic market, with improved aftermarket services and its own production facility in Sweden.
